Gettysburg Leadership Seminar

- Walk in the footsteps of leaders like Lee, Meade, Longstreet, Buford, Hancock, and Pickett as they engage in this pivotal battle of the Civil War to discover what causes some leaders to adapt, adjust and prevail under tremendous hardship, while gaining an understanding of why others stumble and fail magnificently.

- Through on-the-ground study of the battle that defined America, the Seminar will use the Army’s Leadership Model to learn practical, usable lessons about team building, morale and courage, dealing with ambiguity, effective communication, and the execution of commander’s intent.

- Explore leadership decision-making at its most intense on the battlefield sites where the results of a leader’s strengths and weaknesses are immediately apparent.

- Draw lessons about leadership that have relevance not only to the military experience but to any leader faced with uncertainty, the pressures of time, the complicating actions of subordinates -strong and weak, and the prospect of failure or success in great endeavors.
